As some of you may know, I am getting married in September.
I have been tasked with the finding of candy floss and popcorn providers. The cheapest price I have found is £330 and that is appallingly extortionate. I don't suppose any of you may know of, or have the Google fu to find, a company/person able to supply this service for a reasonable price. Thanks in advance, and I strongly recommend to all of you to elope instead. Weddings are ferking stressful! |

Yeah, elope. Much better idea. My wedding cost $75, and that was a voluntary donation to the judge who did the legal bit. The whole thing took a 3 minute phone call to arrange, a 5 minute drive to the courthouse and a further 2 minutes to say the required stuff and sign a form. Job done.

Tell them it's a party. The price goes up when you mention wedding.

Yeah I've kept the word "wedding" out for all of the quotes I've asked for but £330 is the cheapest I've found, and like feck am I paying that much.
It's all well and good charging like £45 for the 2 hours work, but chances are, they're only going to end up giving out about 25 servings and each serving probably only costs about 10p. So at £330 they can go forth in short sharp jerking motions. |

You'll probably find the reason for the quotes is that's what these people could be making if they were at their usual pitch so they don't want to come to where you are to make a loss.

I do see it from their perspective, £150 covers their time, travel, stock and goes towards paying for their kit.
But feck me, does it seem expensive. |

That's genius Bib!
5'x3' plywood board, maybe 10' of 4"x2" and some 3" batten. That should work right? |
