Default Givi Easylock info

http://www.givi.co.uk/m/soft-bags/Sa...600%20EASYLOCK

Has anyone had the pleasure/pain of using a set of Givi Easylock Panniers. I already have the frame which I currently use my oxford panniers on but they've had a hard life and I'm looking to replace them for next years two up trip to Spain next year.

I'm torn between getting a set of full hard cases (frame would need adapting) or something semi rigid that would just clip on to the frames as they are.

Can you guys give help and advice?

If getting hard panniers Dean, get some inner bags that can be carried into hotels etc without taking the panniers off the bike. I'm fed up with that now and will be investing in proper pannier liner bags (even though I think they are a bit of a rip-off).

Cannot help with your main question though.

I aggre with the above, so I use something along the lines of

Tote bag type thing

Yes you will have to not over pack them and more stuff than place in to the pannier but much cheaper and you can still carry them in.

Not used the Givi ones but I had some SW Motech Blaze panniers on my Fireblade and they were awesome, I actually prefer them to the hard bags on the V-Strom. Only issue you'd have though is the strap sits over the pillion seat so may not be suitable for 2 up touring.

LP I got some liner bags for my VFR from ebay for half the price of Honda ones and they were exactly the same. I'll see if I can find out who the seller was.

i'd been looking at the easy lock because they just clip to the bike like nornal hard cases. They look great but they aint cheap. Being Scottish I'm a tightwad and don't wanna spend the cash unless they are right.

I had been looking at Kappa K40's but they'd drown the street and I had enough front end issues on the last Spain trip when the gaffer decided that it was time to eject and break her wrist.

one thing i seen about those panniers was the words 'rain covers included' which suggests to me that they are not waterproof.

just by a vfr... lol

Gone up a tenner since I bought mine, still cheaper than the Honda ones though.
