Is it my bike or do the later twin plug euro bikes hunt/surge between 3000-4000 rev range? On constant throttle at that rev range my bike just want settle, jerking and so on, especially in 2nd/3rd gear.
Anyone know about this? The bike has only done 6500 miles and has been meticulously maintained. Many thanks |

If it helps, there is no surging as you describe on my twin spark with about the same mileage. I would try a tank of super unleaded before anything else.

At those rpm in 2nd/3rd gear, you're probably using only very light throttle, which could highlight the throttle bodies perhaps being very slightly out of sync. Check the caps / tubes on the TB sync stubs aren't cracked or leaking. Has the TPS set-up been checked recently?
Might also be worth checking the spark plugs are nipped up snugly, they can and do loosen in use. |
