Looks like Lidl have their chargers on sale again from this Thursday. I've seen a few old posts on here from previous years of people buying them. I'm guessing this new one is the same as older versions.
Just wondering how people have got on with them? Have they lasted? Is the trickle function ok? Was looking at getting an Optimate 3 as soon as I could afford one, but at £13.99 I'm very tempted to save money for other bits I need and go for the Lidl one. http://www.lidl.co.uk/en/our-offers-...etail&id=30031 |

Ive got one and its still going strong, its great because you can use it on lots of different types of batteries.
Sv sits on the Optimate all the time. For £14 this is good value

Stu's XJR alarm drains his battery so he leaves that on the optimate and my GS only gets topped up occasionally, so I think I may buy one to keep it on charge a bit more frequently.

Doesn't look like they are still rebranding CTEK chargers though.

I bought one a couple of years back. It 'auto-senses' between 6v and 12v batteries. So it'll charge a 12V from 10V to 13ish no problem. If you give it a flat one, it stops at 6V

I got mine this morning. It's currently doing it's job on the new (2nd hand) SV650s I got a few days ago, that had been started up numerous times for demonstration of engine working but not ridden anywhere for a few months. The charger started flashing away immediately showing a 12v charge in the battery, one of four bars of the process flashing. Seems good so far.

I've got the Oxford 360T and the Lidl charger. The latter for 3-4 years. In my opinion the Lidl unit is better made and certainly will last longer. I've certainly got more faith in it. I've also used it to charge rechargeable lead acid batteries that are used in non LED Work Lamps, High Power torches/lanterns, etc. If you have a battery that goes low, and heavy Cold Cranking will take it to about 7.5 volts, you can connect two batteries to it. Details on the Internet and Youtube.
