Default New Girl back with new video!

Hello all,

Sorry I have been absent for a while, however, I am back now and would love your comments on my latest video- front wheel bearing change (and speed rotor change as well).

As always I welcome your comments, and ideas for future videos.

I notice you used sealed bearings, were they sealed on both sides? My original bearings were sealed one side, fitted with the seal on the outside. I was wondering whether it would be a better idea to fit them with the seal on the inside, open to the outside, making it possible to grease them in place.

If the bearing seal was on the inside and open on the outside you would need to grease them very often indeed because the grease would constantly get washed out....

On the pointy there's a separate seal fitted outside the bearing, if the bearings were open then removing that seal would allow the bearing to be regreased, even cleaned out if necessary. Using a sealed bearing means you're reliant on whatever grease the manufacturer installed for the whole life of the bearing. In my case not only did the seal prevent me greasing the bearing, it also meant that you couldn't even see the state until the bearing actually failed.

Hiya, am a newbie to SV650 and have a K1. I have watched your videos, very helpful and informative. I am looking for some local expert help, I live in Wallasey on the Wirral. Do you know anyone of the forum? I have tried searching without success.
Thanks.

Might be better posting your own thread, put your location in the title. There's a good chance there's someone in the area but they might not be reading this thread.
