Is there any secret method to getting a front sprocket nut off? Tried everything! Even took it to a bike garage and he put his gun on it and wouldnt budge, had a go at it with a big bar and no luck! He mentioned heating it up and having another go but will it damage the oil seal? Any tips would be appreciated!

Are you sure the lock washer is completely clear of the nut?

Yeah im pretty sure, i mean all you do is flattern 1 side against the nut dont you? There is nothing touching the nut

Assuming its a RH thread ?
The nut may have stuck to the sprocket by corrosion - plus gas will help.

Yeah it is RH thread, it does look pretty dry down there so im going to pickle it in plus gas and give it another go with a breaker bar
