Well after owning 5 different SVs since 2004 it’s time for me to move on to something else.
The main reason is I’ve been suffering from Reynaud Syndrome in my hands the past few years which has made riding uncomfortable for me, tried a bar conversion which helped a fair bit but not enough really. I need something with a more relaxed riding position, after a bit of searching I got myself a cheap DL650 of 2007 vintage. Cheap as it had been sitting for while and needs a bit of work. A bit of a shopping list of jobs including full brake rebuild, new rear shock, forks will need rechroming, new chain, etc, etc

Good choice I'd say DD. Still that peach of a v twin engine. Sorry to hear about the situation being somewhat forced on you by Reynaud Syndrome though.

I suffer from Reynaud Syndrome/Vibration White Finger. My 99 naked is sit-up-and-beg and is fine. I've found that the biggest trigger to hand discomfort are the Carbs/Fuel bodies being out-of-sync so I check and do mine as soon as I feel even the slightest vibrations through the bars.
I've even made a page to for it, http://straticus.epizy.com/SV650CarbBalance.html?i=1

A friend has "Vikings" condition (Dupuytren's) where things grow together in his hands and causes problems with grip etc. (one little finger already removed).
He moved through various bikes to ease things and now has a Tracer with quick-shift and cruise which makes European touring still easily achievable for him. I don't have such issues (yet!) but since 2013 I've owned an NC700 DCT which I use for touring, and although it's a bit of a Marmite thing, until you've lived with a DCT (or similar) you don't realise just how tiring and inconvenient having to use a clutch and gear lever can be, especially on long day's rides and in town traffic etc. It's great that there are so many options available to us nowadays to prolong the riding.

Doing the bar conversion from clip ons helped a lot but I rode a mates cb500x which is definitely a more upright position than my sv and my hands were mostly fine for the 3+ hours we rode for
