Default Tail Riser

Hiya,

I read in a magazine (unfortunately I cant find the magazine which covered all aspects of tuning the sv) about tail risers to make the back 15mm higher. I have a K4 and think its a bit to low so was hoping to source and fit one of these to my baby and bring the height up to that of the K3.

Any help greatly appreciated

Darryl

"dog bones"

if you change the suspension linkage plates "dog bones" you can raise or lower as much as you like , without changing the rear suspension action.

if you're after only a small amount you maybe able to just add a bit more pre=load to the rear shock to get the same result.

Cheers Mark.

Anyone know if it's trye that Hayabusa ones work to raise the SV by a cm or so? I've heard it a couple of times but never tried it...

Does fitting one of these effect the handling ??

Surely raising the tail will have the same effect as dropping the forks down the yokes and make it turn quicker? Or am I way of the mark?

no you're right, but changing the dog bones has the advantage of not decreasing ground clearance.

I make my own, a couple of bit of flay bar, rounded at the ends. easy to do.
shorter = higher
Longer = lower

Never tried the Hayabusa option, but if they are shorter than the SV ones then it should work.

Cheers Mark.
