Don't forget you can get the fuelling adjusted (to a degree) without the need for a PowerCommander.

Well the Yoshi is one example. You can also find a dyno centre that uses the Factory Pro Teka. There is one other but can't remember what it is.

Your best bet would be to speak with Gary Smith at SDC Performance in Stevenage. He prepared two of the leading MiniTwins racers (including the Championship winner) last year using a box that plugs in to adjust the standard fuelling and is then removed. The number is 01438 - 357 777.

What do you have against the Yoshi tune!??

I had mine done and was very VERY impressed!!

I gained over 5bhp (from before & after dyno runs) which took my bike to 83.1bhp!!

All I had done to it was a Scorpion slip-on can, a K&N filter & the TRE & TPS mods... The Yoshi tune cost me £50-odd which brought the total spent on tuning to around £220!!

It made the bike far more rideable as well as being more powerful! Ian (chutz) rode it a few times after the tune-up and was equally impressed (he had ridden it before several times as well!).

It's just a shame it's in bits now!!

Ask your local dealer - they're bound to either have one or know someone who does!

I would, but my local dealer is a right rip-off merchant There's a Dyno centre in my local town - I might give them a shout

Go on... You know you want to!!

It's well worth doing but remember that it's set up for the engine modifications you have made at the time... If once it's been yoshi'd you change anything (different air filter, different exhaust, TRE mod, etc.), it will not run as well!!

I noticed this when I took out my TRE mod (may have been needing a warranty claim, so didn't want to give them any excuses!!)... It was definitely not as powerful & didn't rev as quickly!!

Cloggsy, if you are ever over this neck of the woods, get yourself over to Rockets in Blackburn. They do the Yoshi remapping (Im getting booked in there shortly for mine so can report on the job soon) and are pretty cheap. Its a brand new building with top of the range dyno equipment too. Very nice set up.
