Default I want both of them on!

Not sure if the faired SV does this also but have a problem with my new bike. When youre riding with dipped beam on only one lights on. For both to come on you need full beam. Dont know which genius thought of this but im guessing this is why people keep trying to kill me cos they cant see me or mistake me for a pushbike!

So does anyone know of a way to get both lights on? Must be an electrician here somewhere

On the Fazer you had to acquire a relay, take a feed from the lighting circuit to the relay, a power supply to the relay and a power line from the relay to the dip terminals on the other bulb. It's a while since I did it but it sounds right! I'm sure that it will work for the ZX6R. Oh and don't forget a fuse, just in case!

My J1 has them both on...I too don't really like the single light.

It's something to do with the way the lights are set up to get round (sorry conform) to an EU mandate, most of the new Hondas are like it too.

If you have a dig around on the web there should be a fix, which will include some new bulbs and possibly a replacement relay.

Have to agree with ZX6Man.... my JI also has both lights on with dipped beam. May sound daft but have you checked the bulb ? And yes there is no decent Ninja site.... which is why I love this one... at least bikes are loved here...
