sv thou screen/headlamp fairing????which is best???
hi to all sv-ers!-now the proud owner of a new silver svthou,im after a add on screen,-suzook one???or small headlamp fairing-givi?-glenshiel ltd??has anyone tried these?
 must say-AWESOME site-  fantastic!!great images of svs!!!is there any meetings in the cotswolds?? cheers bigears. |

As you say you're after a headlamp fairing for an SV1K, can I deduce from this that you have a Naked Thou? If so, then Welcome my friend, I'm no longer alone, there is another .org user with a groovy naked Thou, well done that man  Mine is Mean 'n Moody Black 'n Groovy, what colour is yours ?

hi-its super,slick,sexy silver -and yes its in its full naked glory-a good choice what!
 me thinks it be a bit faster than me enfield bullet????about 100 more gee gees  im off to france on it and will need a bit of a screen-any ideas???still i could unbolt that huge,sort of half a fairing black placcy thingy on the **** end and strap on the front  went a couple of years ago on my t509 speed trip-but rained 10 days of 14  looking foward to meeting other svers  being naked rools!

One of my work mates gave a Givi Aero tech screen he got free with a new XJ1300.
He found it made the steering unstable at speed on his bike. Have now fitted it to my SV and have had no probs with handling. It's very effective at getting rid of the wind blast even at a speed of 125 mph (on private airfield) This screen is a bit on the large size and I think the next size down would be almost as good. The screen is 15 ½ inches from the top of the headlight to the top of the screen I think it is the A602 model.   Quote:

hi-thanks for the replies and great pics!!ive been looking at the givi range but cannot find a list of dealers as yet-any ideas anyone?
ah-me bullet-bless her!brought her from a guy in devon last year who turned out to be a complete bodger -cross threaded plug/stripped threads/etc-its only money!!  -may buy another and glue the engines together-would that be an sv forerunner???cheers svers! |
