Default Self declaration: I'm a fool!

Earlier this week I arranged to go for a lunchtime ride today with Mogs to the Blue Anchor (for a coffee ), but l got called out at 2am this morning with work. Got home at 4:00am.

So, when the alarm went off at 6:30am this morning, I took the mature, responsible view that I was too tired to ride in. Got here and emailed Mogs to say that I'm not on the bike - too tired. Nodding off at my desk here........

So, if I was too tired to ride in this morning, why did I drive instead?

Yes you are, I would have stayed at home, and then gone in after the lunch time ride.

Should be fun.

Whilst I don't disagree with your declaration it's probably fair to say that riding is a much more physically and mentally engaging activity that driving. IMHO.

And they'd have known I was telling porkies.

If I'd have been out for another hour then they'd have given me a half-day time-in-lieu.

Contrary to what some people think, life in the public sector isn't a complete bed of roses (another saying that I don't understand - it'd be *****ly, wouldn't it? ).

I'd of gone into work late- no reasonbale boss would expect you to go out on call at 2am, then come in for 9.00am. When I'm up late (doing work) I go in late the next day.

I also agree with cronos- if you're not feeling 100%, fatigue etc. creeps up on you a lot more and on a bike you're more susceptible to it (as well as the consequences for you being a bit more serious).

Well if that means it ought be moved, I don't think so, it's riding/driving issue so this isn't the wrong place for it.

Unless you want me too, that is, in which case I will.

now im a car driver in the morning, i am perfectly aware as to y i was knocked off on the way to work,
the no. of drivers i see at traffic lights yawning is unbelievable!
and scary!!

I think to be honest with you, using the car instaed of the bike is simply because it takes so f ing long to put leather on!! it easier and lazier to take the car!!

Least ur there in one piece eh!!
