It's a matter of choice. You simply have to decide what your own particular criteria are and have a look at the threads in this section.

However... Bridgestone 020's used to be the all round benchmark but I suspect that these might have been superceded by the Metzeler Z6's and the Contintental Road Attacks both of which will give you near identical qualities and considerably more mileage.

The dilema I face is I commute to work 50mile round trip (normal motorway and A roads) but come the weekend im out with mates who mainly own GSXR1000 so what im looking for is a set og tyre that will give me the best of both world's. So far I have been quoted £195 for BT010 front and BT020 back fitted. This seemed to be the choice but with these new tyres comming out it all gets a bit confusing Any help on the above problem I imagine im not alone.

The 010 will get squared off pretty quickly with a lot of motorway riding. As I've answred in a separate post of yours, either the Z6's or the Conti Road Attacks will fit the bill perfectly.

I do that kind of riding but with less of the high speed scratching with gsxr1000s and the conti does work very well. I'm going to try the Z6 next, though, mostly on Mark's recommendation. Since he does alot of miles and rides hard I think the Z6 could be suitable.

Just had a set of the Z6's fitted to mine on Wednesday, only done 20 miles since as the weather is crap and the tyres still have some silicone preserative on them... but even in that time they feel a lot more stable than the stock Dunlops 220... mine only managed 3800 miles before I was down to the fabric...

Hopefully will get about 10,000 or more out of these going by the tyre forum, thats why I got em..
