Good rear tire, done 6000 miles on it, got squared off due to first year riding and commuting, can't compare as first tires i've ridden but deffinitely no major 'moments' on them
next trying the AV45??? Sports, that replace them, we'll see how they do ![]() -C |

I'm getting my 9th set of 45/46'S later this week.
Now I know some don't like the loose feel they give, but they grip really well in all conditions and the looseness allows some smart cornering with bags of feedback. they don't heatup as fast as the 49/50 setup but last a lot longer. I get about 6,500-7,000 to a rear and can just about manage two rears to a front. I've tried the Bridgestone’s & Dunlop’s (even a set of Rensport's (1850 mls out of rear)), but find this setup works well on the SV, I don't think I'd use it on a heavier bike, but on the light SV, it's fine. 74,000 miles and not a walking pace, speaks volumes. They work; it's just some people interpreter the loose feeling as lack of control, as opposed to more manoeuvrability. Cheers Mark.

rictus01 --
thanks for your great review of the 45/46. im awaiting the arrival of my first set this week. i have 17,700 miles on two sets up mez4's and needed a change. avon's came highly recommended by one of my friends for my riding style which is about 50/50 twisty/highway. jenn |

As someone with as many miles as rictus, Azaro STs are my favorite too, at least during warm weather months. (in winter I run Pirelli MTR60s)
my review. when new they don't "feel" quite as good so some others... when they are toast, they still have that same feel as when they were new. their handling doesn't seem to deteriate with wear like EVERY other tire I have tried... |

I had one of these on the back of me SV, with an AV45ST front. Nice mix Mr previous owner.
The AV36 rear was ok in the dry, but I found it to be horrific in the wet. It just wanted to spin up or step out. Nasty. Me no like. Dan. |
