Default Back in black

Ladies and gentlemen, Boys and girls, the duchess is back.

Yes, picked her up today and she's looking better than new and certainly sounding a lot finer. All the scratches have gone, its ready to rock n roll and she is now the proud owner of a Renegade High level Titanium Oval can. It looks nicely understated and you just have to roll on the throttle to know where that money went.

See y'all Friday.

Having now had the bike out for about and hour or so total (last nights run to the shops had a slight detour), I can now confirm that not only was the hornet a piece of useless cowdung but the Duchess is better than ever before. I have had admiring looks from not only the women in cars and walking along the street but also from other bikers appreciating the low, bass-end growl of the finest brand of exhaust known to man (ooo - controversial).

Debs has also checked her over and when she dismounted, could not stop smiling.

Really must look into getting those baffles...

The main differences between the Hairnet and the Duchess:

1. The sound, but thats obvious. No longer a pesky bluebottle whine, now a deep Tiger-like growl.
2. The handling. The hairnet being upright was easier to handle but you just couldn't bend it into corners.
3. Acceleration and the power scale. Yup. Plenty of power now. Wasn't like that yesterday.
4. Brakes. The Hairnet did have better brakes. Got to give credit where it's due.
5. Comfort. Welcome back, the Duchess.
6. Street-cred. Thank god she's back in black!
