106mph in a 65mph zone....HELP - SV650.org

Ok. Anybody had a really bad speeding ticket with reckless driving as well before? Just wondering what I have to look forward to or what plan of attack I should use.

not sure in the states but you'd pretty much lose your licence over here for that

Thanks.....can't you just lie to me and tell me everything will be ok. Just kidding. Yeah that's what I thought was going to happen. I have to drive a lot for my job and that is not an option. Maybe a thousand bucks can get me out of it?

Eeek. I think you'd be better off asking at www.svrider.com as most of the people here won't know about the speeding laws in the US.

If it were me, and my job depended on my licence, then I'd sell the bike before the court appearance to show the judge that I was truly sorry (yeah right

) and had given up biking for good. Might help just enough to get a big fine but keep you on the road - you can always get another SV a little later.

I got done in NC , albeit driving a VA registered car (stang 5.0

) along highway 12 (gorgeous gorgeous road and scenery) , doing 90 in a 55. Anyway I ended up getting fined $400 and that was that. Expect a hefty fine I'd think and not much else. The reckless driving crap in the states is just for doing 30 over the posted limit? correct me if I'm wrong; I'm sure it varies from state to state but that was the case in VA. Mine was also issued on the ticket as reckless but nothing came of it I just paid the fine.
