Default Lower Fairings...Bolt Problem??

All,

I fitted my fairings two weeks ago and at the time had a particularly rough ride with most of the bolts. Most involved a considerable amount of WD and a good dose of strong arming....but nevertheless I got the fairings fitted!

BUT...I decided last night to just check that all the bolts were still tight after a few rides out and noticed that the left side bolt (the one that goes into the Radiator) and it had come very loose but when I tried to tighten it, it wouldn't tighten. I then could actually pull the bolt out by hand and it was covered in crap which i can only assume was the remains of the thread! Oh dear! What am I going to do?

So I slipped the rubber gromit off the fairing and slipped the original bolt underneath the fairing to see if that fitted back in....it did and was tight. So I can only assume that the bolt for the new fairing doesn't go in far enough.

So...can I get a new bolt (same diameter, and with an Allen Key head) from somewhere. My local dealer says he can't get one?

Any ideas?

PS: I also urgently need to get a tank protector from somewhere. I saw an silver SV one from somewhere but can remember where? Its not the Bandit Mania one either. I want a traditional one! Any ideas chaps?

Unfortunately not...cause its too short! The new bolts you get with the fairings are the simialr to the originals except are longer. Thats why I need to try and find somewhere I could get the replacement bolt from...

www.namrick.co.uk are pretty good, providing you know what size the bolt is.
