Default Just fitted my new ccc but i have a question .......

Just fitted the new can and it sounds fantastic. However when i rev the bike i can feel small amount of air coming from the two joints - is this normal ???

Its not a lot, i can just feel it when i put my hand around the two clips

Muzzy,

I bought Dave some for his SV1000 for his b-day and one of his was doing it. It was only blowing air out when it was cold once it had warmed up it stopped.
I spoke to Roy at CCC about it and he said not too worry about it as it sometimes happens and that it will seal itself after a while.

Jo.

Muzzy...If it really plays on your mind then just split the joints again and apply some sealant. I used common or garden household silicone and it did the job a treat.

My ccc was blowing slightly when i bought the bike so i took it off and used 'Exhaust Assembly Paste' when refitting it. Im an ex car mechanic and assembly paste is always used when fitting an exhaust but it seems to be different with bikes
As said earlier, it may seal when it warms up and expands.
Also check the clamp at the can to link pipe connection. If you look youll see 1 or 2 slits in the pipe coming from the can. The clamp should be positioned so that the slit/slits are are forced to close up.

Just fitted a ccc to mine too.

If there is a small amount of air that causes the popping on the over-run so I have left mine blowing slightly (not basat friendly tough but I think its right?!?!?!?!?!??!)

Hi Muzzy,

Mine does exactly the same. I reckon if you leave it for a while then the slight leaks will seal up with the carbon.

Are you running yours with or without the baffle?

I bought one the other day.It sounds awesome.
When you look at the baffle the end piece in the outlet is slighty out of line with the piece that goes into the perforated tube it means part of the gasses are not baffled. Is it like that on every one elses or not.

Parky...
