Default Caught by the fuzz...

It's my month for random nonsense on the bike... After the cut-out switch thing last week, I managed to run out of petrol yesterday on the way home (Im that clever...), adn today, well...

It was pouring today, and a bit misty, so I had my hi-viz vest and rucksack cover on. Halfway home, i got pulled over.

Policeman: "Do you know why I've stopped you sir?"
Me: "I have no idea... I was only doing about 20!"
Policeman: "It's not your speed, that was fine. It's all this reflective gear"
Me: "Eh?"
Policeman: "Do you think that's a good idea, wearing all that stuff?"
Me: "Well... Yes, it's a very good idea in conditions like this"
Policeman: "I've stopped you because I think that it could be a dangerous distraction for other roadusers"

at this point, Other Policeman joins the conversation...

OP:"Hang on"
P: "It's alright, I've got this one"
OP: "No seriously mate, quick word?"

A small aside occurs, which has some arm waving, and clearly has the word "fa*ny" in it quite a lot. A quick radio call is made.

OP: "Sorry about that mate, I think he's lost his mind"
Me: "No problem (laughing)"

Northwind gears up and rides on. Just before he leaves...

P: "Hang on, is that numberplate legal"

So I pretended not to hear him...

I think the other copper's diagnosis was spot on... The guy was just being a knob.

Laff, that reminds me of an old not the 9 oclock news sketch, about the copper pulling a bloke for wearing a loud shirt in a built up area...

Jas...
