Default Thats not gloss.....

Whilst giving my lower fairing the two tone effect (black and 99 blue) I ran out of the gloss black I was using so I jumped on teh bike to the local motor mart and got a can of there black gloss spray.........or so i thought.
The finish is more satin and its not my spraying, the coats quite good for a non pro, so i'm going to eather polish it up or just give it a coat or 2 of laquer.

Depending on the paint, it might be designed to take a top coat... Gloss acrylic designed for clear coating won't be all that shiny without. The colour comes from the paint, the shine comes from the clear.
