Looks OK to me from the pic, once it's on a lid and there is no light coming from behind the visor it will look more mirrored I reckon. Just MHO.

Just send it back after Chrimbo, as you said, if your friend isn't happpy with it.

Tinted visors look more "see though" when they're not on a lid. Once it's being worn it should be fine.

I ordered a blue iridium one and I was reaally disappointed when I saw it, could easily see through it.
But I thought what the heck and put it on the lid, it looked great. Yes I am well pleased and yours will probable be the same on.

Agreed. A lot of reflective mirrors, even golden heat shield ones used by firemen can be see through easily when they're held up to the light. As people say, once it's fitted to a helmet with a person's head in, it's a lot less transparent. Hope they like it once it's fitted.

The UK distance selling regulations mean that if you buy something without being able to see it, you can return it within 7 days for a full refund (other than P&P).
This applies to internet and phone shpping.

Yea my Dark Visor looked really light before it was on the lid, once it is on the lid and on your head there won't be any light coming from behind it so it should look more mirrored
