Hi all been mainly reading lots of usefull info of this site lately and hope everyone had a nice xmas. Anyway went out this morning for a boxingday thrash in the rain

Cheapest solution is a GSXR SRAD shock.
I'm not convinced it should be necessary after so few miles, though, you probably just need to play with the setting a bit. |

The stock shock units are crap, spring is too light for folks over 70kg and the damping in the unit is non-existent.
Unless you are a flyweight stay away from the SRAD GSXR shocks because they have a lighter spring than the std shock so it will need rebuilding (valving needs adjusting too if you put a heavier spring on) which, of course, is more money. Without saying how much you weigh it is a bit difficult but the simplest swap these days is a ZX10/636 shock unit. They have a #530 as opposed to a #510 spring, fully adjustable damping and both are slightly longer than std. 636 is about 5mm longer than stock. For someone around the 80-95 kg mark this is the easiest & cheapest thing for you to do. |
