Hello folks,
Aye ok thats taking the truth a wee bit far, but that R/H footpeg is trying to throw me under the bike! ![]() Its one of those annoying niggles innit!? I wear a pair of Sidi Rains which I don't want to change as they are the first boot I have had that is totally waterproof, but my foot is slipping reguarly of the peg in the wet. I have even tried changing my riding "style"(Ho-Ho! ![]() I don't fancy aftermarket jobs, the ones I have seen look a bit nasty. To cut to the point of all tis havering............. Anybody got GSX-R or similar Suzuki alloy only pegs on a pointy SV? Or some OE looking aftermarket? Cheers for any help.............. while I am sunny(ain't seen much o'that for a while) side up. Andy. Seasons greet to you all ![]() |

I've put complete gsxr1000 footrest hangers and levers on mine after I bet a hanger in a drop. The footrests themselves won't go onto a K4 hanger, I know that much, and I suspect they won't go on any pointy hangers.
The GSXR hangers take some persuasion to go on, as well. You need to either make brackets to move them to where the SV ones are, or get a longer shift rod and make a bracket to move the rear master cylinder. |

I get this now and again.....
What I do is drag the sole of my boot along on the road when I'm riding round town, this the scuffs up the sole of the boot on the road surface and then it stops it slipping off the footpeg BE CAREFUL when you do this otherwise you'll come off your bike You could always take some sandpaper or something to the soles of your boots and roughen them up a bit and see if that helps

OK then......
....if it's the sole design on them thar boots- why not take a hot soldering iron across the SIDI part to form grooves. This way the pegs will get something to grip on. A bit drastic you might think, but only if you go in there too heavy. Cheers, Garry |

I didn't have any problems with the black rains. I'm inclined to think there's just some oil or crap on it.

Had it with my VFR so bought some Motrax ones with savage grooves in them and put them on, required a bit of fiddling but was worth the effort

Happy New Year to you all!
Thanks for all the advice and tips. ![]() Luckily for me and my Sidi's I don't have access to a soldering iron!! ![]() Had a look at the Motrax pegs and they look solid and like they could do the business. Although did not see a specific part no. for the pointy SV. Don't see that as a big problem as the SV is such a popular bike. Thanks again folks Andy |

Have heard Sidis tend to grab onto heel plates before, not the bikes fault!
