Hitting the triple-G spot

Golden, Glamourous, Glorious.

Trina Gulliver, the Triple-G girl, was hitting all the right spots as she cruised to a 2-0 victory over her Dutch opponent, Francis Hoenselaar, to win her 6th Women's World Championship Darts title yesterday.

Never mind Phil "The Power" Taylor and Ray "Barney" whatever-his-name-is: this gorgeous 36-year old Darts Champion can easily tuck her shirt into her trousers if she wants, and is more likely to need a dab of lippy than a sack of towels to mop a flabby face. And, with a 31 points per dart average, she would certainly see off most of the unshaven, perspiring man-mountains of flesh that waddle onto the oche.

In my mind, she is right up there with Dame Kelly Holmes and St Paula Radcliffe as a genuine athletics phenomenon and must SURELY be a strong candidate for Sportsview Personality of the Year.

How nice to hear from you again Camilla.Can't say I'm a big darts fan but I agree the girls are far better tele fodder than the blokes.

Is it just me that thinks this site is slowly mutating into 'www.darts.org'?

I have never been in to darts nor have I ever watched it on the TV. I did yesterday though coz a ragin hangover wouldn't let me move from the couch at my mates flat.

I watched the darts & was just wondering why the guys were playing for £60k & the women only playin for £6k?

Or was it just my blurred vision?

becuase the womena are no where near as good as the men so they dont deserve to win as much!

tch, tch, Master Owen - and you apparently a darts fanatic. I think you will find that both young Klaasen* and van Barneveld had single dart averages of 31 - the same as the blessed Trina. So maybe the men are not that much better than the women, and the fat chaps are certainly far less attractive to look at - unless of course you are differently inclined.

*Note that it is Klaasen, and not as you spelt it - so not much chance of your vote being counted. Probably the girls can spell better than the men too?

Trina would fall too pieces everytime in a match against raymond taylor or jelle. I hate any womens sports because it is always so boring

I bet your a fan of beach volley ball, i've never met a man who isn't.

a world final that was best of 3 sets? is that cos it took so long for each leg and therefore each set to be played?
