Talking Isle of Man

Just back from a week on the Isle of Man. Brilliant roads and the views are great
The TT coarse is ace, especially the bit over the mountains with no speed limits The bit up the west coast it really good too but there are too many 30mph bits.
I was pretty lucky with the weather, only got one day of heavy rain. Mostly dry the rest. Bloody windy at times though! made the mountain bit even more interesting

Some pics from the mountain section

This was a really good fast corner. You come down the long straight then there is a tight right hander at the hotel(behind my bike), then the other long straight. I tried to get a pic of it but couldn't fit it in one photo

The paddocks in Douglas

The lighthouse at the Point of Ayre

It was a really cool beach

Peel Castle

Some views down the west coast

The Calf of Man

Maughold Head Lighthouse

The view from the lighthouse back to the island

The QE2 was doing its farewell tour so got some pics but they're not very good. Need a better zoom

Douglas bay as I was leaving

Don't know where this was but thought it was quite cool

Definitely got my moneys worth out of the road attacks, although not as many miles as I'd hoped

Best to book it asap. I would have been £120 return if I had left when I wanted to. But I tried it for a few days later and the price had gone down to £70. And if you book for next year it gets as low as £20 return !

On the entrance in when I went for TT week in '05 we sat where the car is in that pic, amazing!!!! And also on the exit on the left on the grass.

Oh and well done you've made my desktop.
