Thank you very much mac!
You did an ACE job!

Your way is a lot better than the haynes way

We only put 450ml of oil in each side. I just searched the forum and it's supposed to be 490ml...

ah well. all i can say is that my front suspension feels perfect now.

Warren, its not courage you need it is just a correct size plug spanner
Good on you mate having the guts to start doing a bit your self, because as you become more proficient you realise just how much the garages are charging for such simple[to my mind] maintenance tasks

Even removing the fairings, changing the oil and filters, adjusting your chain saves
loads of dosh when you have a service done Keep it up it gets easier the more you do

Mac

yeah, i realised that when i changed my CCT, saved 40 quid.

i got the correct size spanner, but the bit that puts me off, is the fact that the sparks are about 10 inches inside the cyclinder head.
(much easier to do on my 125)
and the fact that i need to remove the tank, and remove the radiator too-draining the coolant to get to the little feckers. (i dont have a fuel tank -so ive gotta allow for some petrol spillage) as well as removing sh*t loads of fairing panels.
