MattSV has had both. I've ridden both but not for a great deal of time.

I too am contemplating another twin with more horses (as per my previous thread)
I have however come accross a Ducati 750ss on a 03 plate, showroom condition with 2500 miles. I test rode it a few nights ago and now am thinking of buying it. Its a bit underpowered i think but phew what a bike! Has anyone had any experience of the Duke 750ss? Or should I stick to the SV? JB68 |

have been doing some research on the SS and it seems all is not lost with the power. a set of cans and an ECU upgrade unleash the beast within. Grrrr
Think I will miss my SV tho Anyone after a cheap 650 curvy, mild fighter, x plate, red, carbon can co slip on, new tyres, low miles? JB68 |

Just think about the servicing!!
Dukes are nice bikes but are made of monkey metal. Phone some dealers first and ask about servicing costs. |

£350 for a short service (yearly), £450 for major service(2 yearly). the one i am looking at has just been done.
Most duke dealers are flexible in that they will let you do the easy stuff and leave the belts etc up to them, keeps cost down and a happy customer. |

Hi,
I actuall own a K3 650s and a K4 1000s. I like both for different reasons the 650 spins up nice and quick and I like the revvy nature of it. However the thou makes going fast easy you don't realise sometimes your doing it and of course it has a beautiful sound with a set of pipes. As far as handling goes unless your a really top out and out racer type rider I don't think you will ever have any probs. Regards Paul |
