Default Fitting Heated Grips

Anyone done a guide?
Or willing to give me a few pointers, looks fairly simple even for me, I would like to wire them into the ingnition rather then straight to the battery??

Mine are fitted via a relay so that they are effectively on their own circuit and fused. The principle is that the relay is wired an ignition switched wire (mine is on the taillight) and this completes the circuit.

Spanner man would be able to give you a proper run down as he did mine for me.

I've just bought some so a guide would be very handy.

I recently fitted a set to my wifes CB500 and used a relay to protect the electrics. I used the feed to the rear light as a switch for the relay so the grips will only work when the lights are on.
I found this really helpful:

Hiya, there is an orange wire with yellow trace, conveniently located by the fuzebox (which is conveniently right ontop of the battery under the main seat). It is meant to feed the fan, so a rarely used circuit, lets face it the only time it is likely to be used is in the summer and you won’t have your grips on then!! So no worries about overloading wires etc as you might using the lighting circuit.

Simply splice into the orange/yellow wire and take your +ve feed from there. A twist-solder and tape the 3 ends together will do the trick, but I did mine with a double bullet joint as I have the gear for it. Connect the –ve straight to the battery just below … job jobed … a switched live
