Default NEW 2007 SV650

looks like a photo shop Naked SV650 + GSR600 headlight + GSXR750 exhaust and swingarm. Could be other stuff in there to, but it could all be yanked out of the parts bin like the bandit was. And remember how well that one sold

Don't like it.Bring back the curvy and who on earth decided those "fashionable" silly shaped headlights are a good idea?On naked bikes they should be round and maybe two of em.

If they want to improve the current bike stick the GSXR sstyle USD front end in with a decent set of callipers.

Nah, that'd make mine less cool TBH, I don't think they'll do that- they'd have done it for the GSX600 if they were, to keep simplicity across the ranges. The GSX is supposed to be a higher-level model than the SV, so if they give us a better spec than it I'd be surprised.

I wouldn't be buying one, so what I want is parts I can use- a 700cc motor with an unburstable bottom end, with the same frame mounts and electrics My prediction is some emissions based changes, since IIRC the engine doesn't meet the next version of the euro regs. Ideally that'd mean smarter FI but I expect a cat. And if we get a cat, I expect a displacement increase to compensate for the power loss, since the last thing Suzuki will want to do is launch a model that makes less power and torque than last year's- especially on the SV where it's already criticised for a lack of power.

I would expect the new 650 would be producing around 80bhp and probably a few more cc's.

Lack of power? 70 horses from a small v-twin is not bad.

Like the looks.

I don't think it lacks power myself, but in absolutely every road test it comes up. Same things get criticised every time- least powerful in class, riding position, build quality, occasionally suspension.

Does it? Maybe it does, cats are usually before the can. (would that not cause problems when combined with the unburnt-fuel-burning-thang that K3s have?)
