Yeah its a sad facrt of life that sooner or later the bad men in the buses will get you.......this time my number was up at Elephant castle this morning as a long bus decides veer right leaving me with no where to go apart from into the side of him. Me and my pillion the missus went slamming in and bike went down.....missus landed on top of me bless so i took the force out of her fall. Damage to the bike seems to be all cosmetic but bungs, fairings, brakes, levers, front, indicators, tank ,gear changer, will all need replacing.......fecking CAN is also scuffed but im keeping it as a badge of honor!!!

Good news tho and thats the police who attended the scene we very cool as they charged the driver undue care and attention so legally speaking its not my fault. (it wasnt anyway but its still all good stuff!)

Missus was pretty shook up but is ok my shoulder and arm are pretty screwed me thinks so docs tomorow.

Thankyou to the god of leathers btw and the shoe xr1000 did its job very well.....getting a hire bike tomorrow so sholud be another SV with any luck but otherwise its a honda!

No one can KILL me!!!!.....touches wood lots of times!

Glad that you're both OK. Some of these London bus drivers seem to think that they can do whatever they like. Some even look at you and then pull out straight in front of you. Mind you, others are decent and give you room to filter past.

Good to hear you're both well and unharmed.

That junction is a nightmare for anything trying to get across it, especially a motorcycle.

Good luck with the outcome. It's promising to hear the police recognise that vehicle drivers have a duty of observation on the roads - good on them.

Damn!
Know the Elephant and castle well and always try to keep to the "inside" as far from buses as possible, but have had some close calls. Glad you, the Mrs and bike are ok (In no particular order!)

Possibly see you Friday depending on how you feel but always glad to hear a good crashing story that ends without serious injury!

So happy nothing worse came of the accident. I hate London bus drivers with a vengance. Ever since one decided he could not understand that red at a traffic light means STOP. He carried on and I ended up going straight into the side of him.
Double

Also glad to hear that the driver is being prosecuted. They really do believe that because of the size of the vehicle they drive, that they have command of the road and everything else should just get out of the damn way. Another double

The driver of the red light jumping incident didn't get even so much as a caution.
