Idle Banter For non SV and non bike related chat (and the odd bit of humour - but if any post isn't suitable it'll get deleted real quick).
There's also a "U" rating so please respect this. Newbies can also say "hello" here too.

Default Why are some people Mr Angry?

A chap seemed very interested in buying my SV but could not raise the full asking price. I was able to reduce the price a bit but we couldn't find a mutually acceptable price.

Since then he has been e mailing details of other SVs that have failed to reach reserve on E bay and uses this to tell me I am asking too much. (Though he hasn't bought any of these!)

I don't care if I sell it or not, but he has taken it as a personal insult that I wont come down to his price.

His last e mail contained the following phrases:

Anyway it seems you are not willing to listen in relation to the price for your bike, so I bid you farewell.

I have now got too frustrated with your refusal to accept that you are are looking for too much money for your bike.

Anyone else had experiences like this?

He's obviously a total pillock Chris, particularly as your bike is in such excellent nick - ignore him .

The guy obviously has a problem. Just because he has not got the funds to match your price does not make it your problem! Jerk.

Yeh, he wont knock the smile off my face.

I'm now the proud owner of 2 bikes, the SV and the new Bonneville T120. Not everyones cup of tea but its exactly what I've been searching for.

That's what's important, if you like it who cares what anyone else thinks - and the T120 certainly looks like a "proper" Triumph, very nice.

And once you've sold your SV, don't be a stranger .

Someone hoping to secure a bargain then?

"I bid you farewell" sounds fairplay to me.
