Default Exhaust fittings

Just seen a quill T3 for sale on Ebay, but doesn't say which bike it's for. My question to those of you who are technically minded is this: are exhausts specific to the model of bike, or is the only limitation the type of fit (ie slip on or bolt on) and the pipe diameter?

I've got a K5 naked, and the pipe for sale is a 53mm titanium oval.

Cheers all.

Ooh, ooh, yeah. Also, does ti last as long as stainless on a V-Twin? I know people don't advise carbon ones on a V, but I don't know about titanium.
