How far can I get on my petrol light??????

Ive got a '99 SV650s and was just wondering......on average, how many miles have I roughly got left once my petrol light comes on??

I usually head straight for a petrol station once it comes on but im going to France with 5 other bigger bikes soon and wanna know how far I can expect to get on my petrol light.

I get 90-100 miles to blinker....20-30 miles to solid then 5-10 miles till i'm pushing it.

So, if like me you avoid motorways at all costs for nice wiggly 'A' roads, expect around 25 miles from warning to top-up. if your motorway plodding expect about 40 miles to top-up.

On my commute i used to get 150 miles out of the tank and the light would come on at about 130.

I could have gone a bit further i just didnt need to. 150 miles is 2.5 days work.
