Hi ryancor,
in answer to your question, how much more? but in general, unlike some engines which will just spit it out the SV doesn't like over filling, at best it'll run smokey, you may have gear selection problems or clutch slip or even blow a seal. I'd take it out, fill to below the top line, try getting a plastic measuring jug and filling from that in future. Cheers Mark,

Mark,
thanks for your quick reply. I had just changed the oil and was getting ready for work when I realised there was too much in there. I was going to ride it anyway beleiving it would burn it off! I let some oil out and was late for work but i'm glad I did. You've probably just saved me a repair bill. Thanks again. ![]() |
