OK, why did you have to put original can on for an MOT or does current one say something like not for road use or race use only etc. The requirement for E mark etc went some time ago.

A bike MOT is mostly common sense. a check of wheel bearings, suspension members, brake components. horn, lights. plus structures such as pegs, lock stops etc.

then a brake performance test and headlamp alignment.

Silly bits are the no plate, reflector etc. requirements.

With the exception of what I labled sillies. I would be seriously worried to ride a bike that failed.

Yea passed no probs -

examiner is a bit strict !- he knows my bike and knows I have orig can..

but cos me scorpion has not for road use stamped on it- he prefers me to change it- i think cos he busy and usually you are after the previous person (of course!!.. I mean they are there whilst u wait0 and the one afte ryou usually is waiting--

so if he let me off- its setting a precedent .!

big number plate on too- it takes 2 mins and aitn worth the effort.

all was fine- flew through-

front tire is low h says but I want some new ones anyway-- !.....

oh and my new LEDS-- indis-- they dim little when brake is applies or the lights are on.. he says thats normal and acceptable but he says i should get a seperate relay and bypass the existing one for the indicators and 4 get the resistors cos LEDs use a lot of voltage !... (its beyond me !)

butit passed.. of course I concerned that indicator dims when braking as this is not a good thing !>>>>

and now i gotta decide if Z6 ot conti road attacks or B020's.. but thats a long long story and a long thread that's been discussed many a time
