Default Fork legs

My lower fork legs get pitted easily, is there any way of protecting them without it looking naff??

Mine have gone nasty too, after just one winter. You can use clear sticky plastic sheets to cover them but not sure how much they cost. Some people use clear nail varnish too. I will probably wait till after this winter and get mine powder-coated black but this is a bit of a hassle if you use the bike every day.

Mirror polish them and give them a coat of clear laquer!!!!!

I just stripped the laquer off mine, buffed them up a little with autosol, then it's just a qick polish now and then to keep them nice. I also try not to show them too much salt
