Default Insurance Group??

Anyone tell me what they know is the current group classification for the SV650S?

I thought it was 10? Does this vary from one insurer to the next? I thought it was

set by an industry body?

Cheers

Cheers Kwak, time to make a call

Just spied a group 14 listing on my documents.

I think I may have been ripped off.

That'll teach me to read the bundle of crap they sent out.

Doesn't it depend who you're with? I think Motorcycle Direct for one use a different grouping system than the standard Norwich Union system.

Does anyone know why this is? Is it because nakeds are slight cheaper new than the 'S'?

Alternatively, plastics help protect other parts from getting damaged like radiators!

Checked out Ebike, they are only £50 out from what i paid.

New rider (32), 0 yrs no claims, not garaged, alarmed, anchored, dotted.

Looks like it's just a different classification system.

Was all ready for a shouting match then! :O

Still had to ask though.

Thanks guys

It is NU10... which means if you're insuring with Norwich Union, it's group 10.

S's and naked's tend to be the same group - but that group does depend on the company you're insuring with.

At the end of the day, compare price... it's the only think you can compare between the companies - other than service, and I hope you never learn if that's good or bad - because it means you've claimed.
