Default scottoiler (durability)

This is the third bike I've had the current one fitted to.

the last chain & sprockets done about 56,000 miles.

I fitted a duel injector thing when moving it on to the SV,and it's dead!
plastic on the body has failed, still it has done 98,000 miles, so judge for your self.

filled once a week, set on lowest setting, that's all my chain maintinance taken care of.

changed all the tubes and re-fitted the single outlet. still in full working order after about 350,000 miles, so £50 well spent, I think.

Cheers Mark.

I'll place a bet that if you phone Scottoil and tell them the dual knackered they'll send you another free of charge.

Well' you were right those nice people at Scottoiler are sending me a new duel injector, for nothing .

Thinking about it, I can't be a very good customer for them, as I got my scottoiler a few years back and haven't had to get another since, they can't make much money out of customers like me

Happy chappy

Cheers Mark.

Stunning service, guess what was awaiting me this afternoon when I came in?

New Duel injector, now thats about 22 hours from Glasgow, he must of posted it directly after we'd finished.

Even better, he included a Scottoil Buff (neck tube) as well.

Cheers Mark.

Real newbie so please excuse my ignorance but, got a scottoiler fitted at dealer and I've got a constant slow drip (yes I know that's what its supposed to do) but it drips all night so i've got some nice oil stains on garage floor. is this normal, is it something i've done or has it been incorrectly fitted / set up??

Sounds like its set too high. Turn it down to something like 1 or 2 in this weather.

My settings are 1-2 summer, 4 in winter and a nice black wheel. I also only use the blue oil.

It runs on vaccum pressure, so shouldnt at all be dripping when the engines off...maybe one or two spots, but thats it
