Default Special Tool needed to remove engine?

Scuse my dunceness....

"easy engines to swap..did it with daves old SV that he blew up..you will need a special tool to unbolt the engine from the frame but we made one up from and old socket with a hacksaw like Rob said"

Anyone got any gen on this above quote from another site?

It is recommended to undo and re tighten the thrust washers when removing and replacing an engine but its no essential, well i didn't if that's anything to go by

Isn't he refering to a castle nut? I have seen the sockets to undo them listed on Demon Tweeks for £35 . However you can make your own by modifying a standard socket.

To be honest, if you haven't already got one, get a Haynes. Then you can read through the whole thing first without having to touch a bolt. I'm sure I read a bit that mentions cutting a socket.

Yep, he's refering the castle nut, or in the suzuki manual "Thrust Socket Adaptor" or something similar.

I made a set for K4, they might fit your K2. However Coombest has them at the moment, but you can borrow them when he's finished, if you want.
