Default GSX-R 750 -> pre-binned and ready to streetfighter

Afternoon all,

lovely day out, ****3 day to be mouling yer **** to the office chair though.
Anyway on a menader through the internet I came across this lovely looking slighlty crumpled 2005 GSX-R 750 that's in a bike salvage place, looks like it'd be a kick **** strrtfighter project for someone with a bit of skill. [note: I don't work for the business in question before I get tagged!]

Enjoy it.

Was thinking exactly the same thing.
Last I looked (and I may be wrong) the headstock was a fairly vital part of the frame.

Not for BigApe, IIRC he only uses the front wheel to support the bike when it's parked...

Could the crack be repaired or does it need a new frame

Do you want to be the one doing a ton plus hard on the brakes over some bumpy stuff to find out?

(Although, I'll have that front end.)

How do you crack the head stock BTW? By driving into something? Does that mean that the forks are probably knackered too?

USD forks are pretty stiff, so a frontal impact with the forks surviving and the frame being damaged is quite possible.
If the headstock is cracked it should be off the road.
A lot of insurance companies like the headstock cut off and returned when they scrap a bike. It's a good policy but the smaller companies don't do it. So sometimes a total death trap ends up back on the road.
