Default PC III USB for K3

Just thought I would put a post in here before going off to spend £240.

I see that there are PC III's for sale on Ebay from across the pond, from my calculations it would work out cheaper to buy from them.... Anyone done this?

Cheers,

Your better of getting the bike mapped either using the teka if you just have a full system this is more than adequate or by the pro bike unit which maps infinatly like the PC does...for half the cost!.

We dyno'd a GSXR1000 yesterday and it made 8bhp more right through the rev range without the pc (which did have a custom map and offered similar fueling results so the map wasnt out)..after being mapped by the pro bike. costs about £100 which is less than a pc with a custom map.

Cheers for the reply, excuse my ignorence but once the bikes ECU has been teka'd, does it lose this in time or is it that once it has been done that is it for good?

I take it Steve Jordans' offers this service?

Cheers,

L

It doesnt loose it..it stays in the ecu as long as you want it in the ECU...we prefer to use the pro bike software as it has a larger range of adjustment than the teka..and thats the same.

Yup...to your 2nd question

I have had a custom remap from Steve Jordan Motocycles for my SV1000 (which is fitted with twin remus cans & airbox mods).

The results:-

Much better pick up on the throttle

The surging at around 4k revs has gone

Feels much stronger from 4 - 8k revs

The cost - SIGNIFICANTLY less than you would pay for a PC3 - let alone the costs for setting it up.

I'll let you decide whether it is worth doing

Ta,
Hiya, I am on bike number 73 in the thunderbikes and steve is on number 77 in the powerbikes as he sold his minitwin to get a 1000 again

We should be parked up in the garages in our big blue lorry so by all means come by and have a cuppa
