Default Move over SV make way for the ZX7-R

My SV looks all lonely sitting in the corner of the garage. Just picked up a zx7-r so it doesn't get a look in any more.

Its a 2000 zx7-r P4. I absolutely love it, its a bit lardy compared to the sv, but the handling is brilliant, its so stable, not as sharp as more modern stuff but then again my bank account would'nt let me buy a GSXR-750, can't wait to get a track day in on it.

Also never though I'd say it but I quite like the scream from the race can, not as good as the boom from the renegade I had on the SV.

Got someone coming to look at the SV on sunday, I think i'll be a little sad to see it go.

Nice one.

I have goose bumps every time I see/hear a ZX7R . Loved mine. Induction noise from the airbox is . Very uncomfortable at first especially with me not being the tallest of peeps but soon got used to it.

You know they have a ride height aduster as standard? I had mine set up 5mm up from standard.

Cheers
Ben

Awesome, AWESOME bike. Owned two of these beauties and even now they look so sexy and really make the new SS bikes look puny and skinny. THe most stable front end in the business, never once had a dodgy moment on both of my Ninja's and 'tis what I learnt the art of knee down on. Wicked bike. Will get another for sure eventually. What's the mileage on yours? I can recommend the full Akrapovic race system.....sounds awesome! Also no need to use the clutch on this beast to get the front wheel up, she can do it on power alone!

I've posted this before but this was about my third knee down attempt ever. This bike makes it so easy!

PB just did a project to bring a 7R up to modern standards... They seemed pretty happy with it You didn't tell us the most important thing- what colour is it?

It's done 13k
Its got a colour matched hugger and undertray, braided hoses, rear sets, tinted screen, datatool alarm, micron can and its been dynojetted. came with all the original bits, spare original key etc

Only thing is its silver/black, it still looks pretty cool except the yellow outline on the ninja sticker on the side. I really, really wanted a green one but loads I looked at were shagged or miles away.

could always save a few quid and get dream machine to do a replica paint job on it.

Silver and black...nooooooooo!

There is one near me actually in Farnborough and I'm sorry to say that I really don't like that colour. Green is the best but also the red (when polished) looks quite nice but no where as nice as green . Get it resprayed if you plan on keeping her (which you should do as it is already a classic bike). I plan to get one near xmas and keep her as close to standard as possible but won't ride it much.

That was my intention, it's a really clean bike, haggled him down a fair bit as I don't think many people want that colour.

Can't decide what paint job to have done though.

I've seen a few Walker reps around that look good, i quite like the 1999 BSB one with the transatlantic finance sponsor, but that had a silver frame but mine is black.

Anyone know where there are any good pictures to help me choose.

Not sure if the later zx10 WSB schemes would look right.
