Flakey Paint. - SV650.org

Hello all, I noticed today that the paint has started to flake off the bottom of my forks, which I was rather shocked about, due to that fact that it's a K5 model. Anyway... I'm going to enquire about getting them powder coated. Would it be worth getting progressive springs fitted at the same time? A friend of mine suggested it to me, so I thought I'd put it to you lot to see if you had any feedback about it. Thanks!!!

Common fault on the SV's. Fraser01 got new lowers under warranty. May want to try that.

I reckon so, though I used linear ones. Depends how heavy you are though. Powdercoating means a total strip, seals and bushes out and all, so it adds no time at all to muck about with the oil and springs.

I have the same problem with my K5, currently trying to get some thing out of Suzuki to sort it. I'm tempted by powder coating especially if i can get it done in black to match the rest of the bike, i see your in Portsmouth (my neck of the woods) can i ask where your thinking of getting it done?

I'm not sure yet, There's lots of places local...apparently. Im going to visit a few places I think.
