Yes.
Get the brackets powder coated before as they rust at the first hint of water and the mounting point of the front bracket to the radiator mount is rubbish, have this strengthend (reweld it) or it will snap. In my experiance. When mounting the braket on the side stand side make sure that both stand bolts are tight (I had one shake loose, unrealted to the fairings but its a good chance to check). While your down there check the return spring on your side stand, had to replace mine a month back and you seamed to be lifting the stand twice each time we left. I don't think you need a padock stand to do this as the bolt is on the outside of the side stand mounting point but one will make it easier. Appart from that just copperslip all the bolts. |
