...one of the disadvantages of being small AND female......people think they have the right to bully you.... ![]() Perhaps I should learn self defence in my leathers..... ![]() |

I've been riding since about 1981, and there have ALWAYS been cages who don't show respect for or caution around bikes. I do think it's gotten worse with the advent of cell phones.
What happened to you? |

was stuck in traffic at some crossroads....tried to filter through it (light was green), moron in cage (with mates) refuses to let me through gap - his light goes green (he can't go anywhere as cars over crossroads) so he gets closer and closer to me and is virtually touching my wheel and starts giving it all that........
totally unnecessary to do what he did.......... |

What a jerk.
I always have fun telling my wife how many dangerous situations I encounter day to day. It takes a careful rider not to have accidents. Sounds like you handled a really irritating situation quite well. |

Soulkiss / Bullwinkle, do it, you wont look back!
I've done quite a lot of Ninjitsu and Jujitsu. Ninjitsu is mainly as the name implies, the stuff of ninja's. The sensei I had taught all kinds of wonderful things, ranging from disguise & escape through to medicine & explosives (small hand held stuff to temporarily blind the opponent, most of which can be pretty easily made). The Ninjitsu Juhakkei (ninjitsu skills basically), from what I can remember, are unarmed combat, sword fighting, stick/staff/spear fighting, throwing blades, stealth, water training (closely related to stealth), strategy (thanks mainly to Sun Tzu - most of which I still remember vividly) and even geography. I might of missed some out though. There are other schools, but if you want to get heavily into this, find a school that's part of Bujinkan Dōjō, Genbukan or Jinenkan. The 3 best schools in the UK. Bare in mind though, that these will probably cost an arm & leg. Jujitsu is a little more combat (unarmed) oriented. It's basically more like judo, hence the similarity in name, but Jujitsu also throws in stuff like the staff/sword/spear fighting. HTH |
