Default Banning sale of fireworks to general public

I really do hope that the government finally see sense and ban the selling of fireworks to the general public.

I duno about the rest of you but I'm sick to death of snotty nosed, greasy skinned, spotty, arrogant little s@#ts that find it of great amusement to set fireworks in the middle of the street, aiming them at peoples houses, cars, bikes and also the general public themselves!!!!

If they did ban it, then it would save the police's time, the firebrigad's time and also the NHS for the hundreds of injuries caused by fireworks.

Fireworks are for sexually repressed pyromaniacs..

I use chainsaws for work - I have a licence to use them for work, it has cost so far in excess of £1500 to do my licence.
They still scare me and what you can do with them, and I know what I'm doing.
Some numpty went into B&Q's , bought one, used it up a ladder, fell off and cut his wife's head off!
And it happens far too much - that's why my insurance premiums are far too high ( well, if i worked for myself).

Leave it to the professionals - they do 0-60 faster than any bike!!!

I personally dont want them banned, i use them for their intended purpose. The age limit and seller control should be revised.

Bugger that.

Cars are too dangerous for most folk, leave them to the 'professionals' like taxi drivers and buses, eh?

Darwins effect will take it's due course. Anyone not willing to take precautions when using dangerous machinery, well, on their head be it (or their wives - Okay that was below the belt!)

As for fireworks....plenty of people use them responsibly and for nothing other than entertaining friends. It's the kids and daft peeps letting them off in silly areas or silly conditions that ruin it for the rest. (right now, its very windy yet people are still letting fireworks off )

I know that there's plenty of sensible people out there who know what they're doing, but, to stop all the problems associated with fireworks, then, the sale of them to the puiblic has to be stopped.

You probably all think i'm about 60 yrs old but I'm only 23. Not sure if thats a good thing or not!! lol !!

while I totally agree.... kids shouldnt be allowed play with these things, I cant help but remember that I myself as a child (ie 13) used to make enormous copper bombs, and really blow the crap out of stuff. Proper run duck and cover type detonations.

And we made remote control bombs. And rockets. And smoke bombs.

And we made a "cannon" which shot AA batteries through an inch of timber. Which eventually blew up cause we put too much gun powder in.

Lots of fun in fairness. The local grannies were ringing up the cops saying the IRA were practicing in the area. And we had to wait till all our parents were at least a mile away before any detonations, since my mates ma came storming back one time cause she heard a blast driving down the road about a half mile away.

Good times.
