Can anyone please tell me what function cush drive rubbers perform. Do they wear or require replacing at some stage.......thanks.

They act as a kind of shock absorber in the transmission to smooth out jolts and snatching.They do wear eventually.

they should fit snug in the back wheel, if there is play then they are worn.
