...other than the year of manufacture, and the obvious colour options, were there any differences between the different K's, and if so what are they and which is the best to go for?
Cheers! ![]() |

minor changes really, the only major one is the colour.

As far as I know...
K3 has the tool kit under the seat, rather than the silly plastic box in front of the rear wheel, and a slightly shallower angle between the frame and sub-frame than all the others. K4,5,6 and 7 should be identical apart from the obvious paint and frame colour. K3 huggers, tanks, seats and maybe some other bits in that area don't fit the K4 onwards. One year isn't any better than the other so don't let sway your decision, it's just something to bear in mind when buying spares and aftermarket bits. p.s. I'm not 100% on this so don't buy any bits untill someone else has confirmed it. |

K5 onwards has a narrower radiator (less likely to get damaged in an off) and some major improvements to the engine internals (should be a lot more reliable).

There are lots of styling differences between the K3 and K4 which make them easy to tell apart, excl already mentioned above = Sidestand, S/Suzuki tank sticker.
I would like to know if there are any differences to tell K5 & K6’s apart without becoming an anorak and knowing colours by year? Oh and just to restate K5 & K6 reds are different. |
