Default I must have ****ed someone off....

Looks like I'm having all the bad luck at the moment. Not having the best of times at the moment but okay.... can't get any worse(or so I thought).

Round about governed by lights and I roll up down the middle to the front and put the bike infront of the car on the outside lane. Light changes and the car on the inside shoots off cutting right across me and only just misses wiping me.

as I wasn't even in his lane. Split second of getting a bit upset and carry on to the next set of lights with me on the inside. Lights change and the same thing. Now I'm really upset and toitally baffled.

Okay we both carry on past another round about and then to another one governed by lights. The approach is two lane which splits into three(at lights) with the inside vehicles going straight on or left, middle for going straight on or right and the outside for turning right.

I look up and stayed on the insidelane(two lane bit) as there was a long line of cars in the outside lane which is the one that splits into two to make it three lanes at the lights. I'm already in the middle lane(from the inside lane remember) when a car brushing past me nudging my leg s and elbow . It's hard for me to explain but there was no way in the world I cut across him even though I had come from the inside lane to the middle.

He basically filtered between the car on the outside who he was behind and my bike without any regards for me who was already in the lane. If I hadn't moved to the left to make even more space he would have taken me out and I believe he wasn't going to stop.

After catching my breath and now really not happy as right from the off I had done nothing that would have made him basically try to run me down. Nada, absolutely nothing I had done(cos nothing happened) that should have made him do the stuff he did

I took down the Registration mark but still thinking if it's worth going down the Police if nothing else so it's logged.

I really can't understand how some people can be so callous . It's safe to say I almost still in shock and trying to work out if there was any way I did something to him even though I know I hadn't.

Just getting stuff off my chest as with all the luck I'm having I feel like someone has it in for me. Jeez.... I feel like a whinning cnut . Stay safe out there people.

Take extra care if you come across R814SAC Peugeot 407 aound the Surrey area

Ben

ps: anyone got excess good luck they want rid off, pass it on to me

If he touched you with his car surely that's classed as hit and run!!!! I would have booted **** out of his car and removed the door mirror as I drove off That's what titanium toe sliders are for! Sorry for my rant Ben hope your OK.

Might be worth going to the plod, that plate has either just been transferred, or is a false one.

HPI db shows it to be:

Manufacturer PEUGEOT
Model 306 GLX DT
Body type 4 DOOR SALOON
Colour BLUE
Fuel type HEAVY OIL
Date manufactured 31 December 1998
Number of previous owners 2

Worth giving them a visit IMHO

I too would have kicked his car.

I have been told that it is better to fold their mirror back especially on the passenger side as it isn't criminal damage and incredibly annoying as they have to get out to put it back.

Ben, I think you did the right thing, no point in going off and chucking mental and putting yourself at risk of being hurt or worse. Sounds like the bloke was either in a hurry, having a bad day, on his mobile phone or been in the pub and had a few shandies to many.

Even if you did something wrong ( hey we all make mistakes don't we ) it still doesnt warrant trying to knock you off your bike. Retalating with violence only drags you down to his level. Some car drivers just don't like bikers filtering or maybe he didnt see you and you spooked him.

Sounds like you had a lucky Even iescape, give the police a ring and report what this toss pot did so that he doesnt do it to somebody else.

Had the same the other day on my way home from work. Got to a roundabout that is governed a set of traffic lights. I'm staying in my lane when the driver of the car in the next lane to me starts to swerve into my lane with no indication or anything. I honked on the horn to make him aware that I was there. He double checked and swerved back into his lane. I carry on, only for him then try to side swipe me and basically forced me to a stop.

I drew up level with him, honked my horn and tapped his window. He just looked straight ahead and refused to acknowledge that I was even there.

What can you do? There are *rs*-h*l*s out there, I guess we just have to be that little more vigilant to avoid them.
