...is it possible (& has anyone done it)? Couple of reasons:
- I don't want a double bubble/different shape screen, i want the standard shape - i have a nurburgring sticker on there and i would have to go back to the 'ring to get another ![]() The downsides I could envisage are that the line of the tinted film around the top of the screen would need to be very carefully done so it looks nice, and may always be visible, and also that there is a slight bit of tinting at the very bottom of the screen - the tinting film would have to go over this and so may not fit nicely against the screen (could always remove this since i'm tinting the whole lot). Also - I'll be tinting on the inside - the 'ring sticker is on the outside and I don't want to put any tinting film over it, I don't think it'll fit nicely. Also i believe that standard shape screens, but tinted, are available but i don't hear much about them - any links so i can at least have it as an option? |

could do that too (i assume you mean tinting paint not proper paint!) - but i would have thought it's more difficult (to get a good finish) than using tinting film?

IMO the film would be very hard to fit due to the shape

You could get an after market one and trim it down.

i'm not sure if i'd want to trim a double bubble down - the thing is, it's not that a DB would be too high (in fact, from a practicality point of view itd be brilliant), i just dont like the look of them
![]() i may try the film and just see how it looks (I can peel it off if it goes wrong)...though it will be more awkward than the intended car windows, i'm sure. |

I would think the film would be OK as long as you start in the middle and just trim once done. You can get the rubber edging strips that come with most aftermarket screens to tidy up the edge.
